Langfest, Langport's brand new festival will be kicking off on Friday the 15th of September, and we're participating at Shakspeare Glass. Will Shakspeare will be demonstrating making pieces from our Somerset Range and talking about his inspiration and love of the levels, as well as our studio, gallery and coffee shop being open as usual.
Upstairs in Great Western House, Ashar will be talking to visitors and will also have her studio open showing what she's been working on recently. Ashar is an abstract artist who has recently had work featured in the Royal Academy Summer Show in London.
Spiral Path book studio have recently moved to the building all the way from New Zealand, and will also be talking to visitors and explaining what they do. They specialise in restoration, repair and conservation of old and rare books.
Langport clocks is a clock making and restoration service run by Steve Brown. Steve has worked on some of the best clocks in the world, including antique clocks made by notable makers such as George Graham and Thomas Tompion.
Leveller Towers is home of the Langport Leveller, our very own local newspaper. Visitors will be able to see behind the scenes and chat to the editor.
