Quantox Knarly #23

Knarly is all about the trees. I love the ancient lines of trees that line the paths on The Quantock Hills. It's the roots - they seem to writhe around searching for the ground. Caught up with the old walls and each other, they have a wonderful texture and form. 

The Knarly range started off with the taller vases and more muted colours and has evolved into some of the pieces that you see here.

We are trying to make them with a freedom, worrying less about symetry and more about the feel of the piece. 

This piece is a little off on the top rim - it annoys me. Although they are meant to be completely asymmetrical - there has to be a certain symmetry to the asymmetry!!!

Its an absolute bargain!
